Blush pots.

DSC_0438 (1024x681) (1024x681)

Hello gorgeous people, welcome back.. I might say that i’m finally back on track at the blog, because i got some diy for you today..

now, someday i felt like cleaning up my makeup drawer, and i felt like some things are taking up too much space, plus i don’t really use them that much because they’re way in the back. just like the benefit go TROPI-CORAL blush set. and they had a mini CORALista blush, and coralista doesn’t really show on my skin at all. so, i thought of making a loose blush.

DSC_0439 (1024x681) (1024x681).jpg

The first thing i did is that, i crushed the blush with a mini cosmetic spatula, and “poured it” into a cosmetic container.

DSC_0440 (1024x681) (1024x681)DSC_0441 (1024x681) (1024x681)

And because the blush was a little too light for me, i added my bronzer (which was crushed already) to add a bronzy glow to the mix.

DSC_0442 (1024x681) (1024x681).jpg

and finally, adding MAC Rose pigment for an added rose gold sheen to the mix. Plus, adding a pink hint of color..

DSC_0444 (1024x681) (1024x681).jpg

And voila! that is the final look, after shaking it and crushing it with a spatula.

that is it to the post, i really hope you liked it and found it helpful, now i haven’t tried it yet, but if i tried it i’ll tell my thoughts.

Thank you so much for reading this post and i’ll see you next time, very soon.

So much love, Shahad..,//

Recent collective haul..

DSC_0429 (1024x681).jpg

Hello my beauties, welcome back, i really missed you and also the blog and i miss talking to you. I’m really sorry for just cutting off the blog, just because I’ve been really busy, my final exams and then my sister’s wedding right after and then i had something similar to the SATs and school started right after. and I, basically, couldn’t get a hold of my life.

So, i collected some of my recent buys and show it to you in case you liked something, it’s still available (hopefully!)

starting off with clothing,,

the first store i wanna talk about is H&M..

DSC_0405 (1024x681).jpg

now, my obsession grew for high neck/turtle neck tops during this winter, and this top is one of my absolute favorites, because the neck isn’t too high, plus the sleeve have a subtle bell-sleeve cut to it, which makes it more unique than my other turtle neck tops.

DSC_0417 (1024x681).jpg

and socks??! Yes, my mom bought them and they ended up running a little bit small for her feet. so yeah, i like those and they really help when you wanna keep yo self warm 🙂

DSC_0428 (1024x681).jpg

i love this necklace and i love the fact that you can change the charm or whatever, really excites me, plus i love the marble look on the charms, especially the white one.

DSC_0410 (1024x681)

and i got their masks, now i’ve heard a fashion blogger (beauty isn’t much her thing) talk about them, saying that they’re good and all, recommending these. and i ended up getting the hydrating and moisturizing one, as you can most likely to see.

now, the smell of them is really good, and they are hydrating clay masks, so i felt like it’s kind of off, because usually clarifying masks are usually the clay ones, but maybe they know something we don’t. but i tried them, and i didn’t see a lot of hydration (especially i’ve needing some hydration lately) but they do make the texture of your skin really nice, so i don’t know about these..

P.S. Now that i looked back, that blogger was using the clarifying ones, maybe the clarifying ones are much better than the hydrating ones.

and then i went to a store called Jennyfer. (with a Y)

DSC_0416 (1024x681).jpg

& and I only got this top; i liked the details on the side, and the fact that is a crop top but not too cropped, and it’s quite loose. plus, i love the color palette of it.

I also went for the first time and bought something from a store called Springfield..

DSC_0407 (1024x681).jpg

I don’t know why, but i love this top, i love the peachy colors and it all written in French, it kind reminds me of the French 70’s style, bangs, flowers, peachy color palette, freckles, and all that, and a really important thing, fringes..!

DSC_0419 (1024x681).jpg

and i also got these pants, but they ended up being too big for me (which is surprising tbh) but i’ve been loving to wear comfy trousers more than wearing jeans, i mean i’ve been loving comfy clothes, a lot.

And then onto Victoria’s Secret, mainly for this…

DSC_0411 (1024x681).jpg

Now, because during the days of my sister’s wedding, i’ve been doing my own makeup, so i’ve carrying my makeup in multiple small makeup bags, and it’s really frustrating; you lose things, everything gets messy and all. so i bought this baby, and it’s so beautiful and big, and leopard and fierce and gold, and i love this baby. DSC_0413 (1024x681)

it’s pretty wide on the inside and holds all the makeup, including palettes and big bottles and also brushes.

DSC_0414 (1024x681).jpg

and this pocket pouch thing, is  so helpful for Q-tips and cotton pads for emergencies; and also blotting papers. plus it comes with a hanger if you feel like hanging your makeup bag, for space.

and also went to Bath & Body Works..

DSC_0425 (1024x681).jpg

Personally, i believe that BBW had some terrible lotions, and i had problem with their scents lingering (just like everything else) but when they improved the formula, i honestly became really impressed. so i didn’t get this myself, my mom got this for herself, but she ended up finding out that she had the full size of it, and she gave it to me.

DSC_0424 (1024x681)

since they don’t have new scents at the store, we bought from the White Barn candles in Japanese Cherry Blossom & a small Mahogany Teakwood. now my sister said that she didn’t like the Mahogany Teakwood, because it smelled like a man, i mean i love the Mahogany Teakwood scent more than the Japanese Cherry Blossom, I mean i feel like there’s some manliness in the scent but not that much, i would definitely buy the Mahogany Teakwood Intense, cause i love the scent and the jar is black and gold.

and I went to MAC Cosmetics and got only one pigment..

DSC_0426 (1024x681).jpg

I got Vanilla pigment, I use it as mostly highlighter, like on my cheeks; sometimes inner corner, and so far so good. I love the white rose gold sheen it gives to the face.

and I went to Sephora and they had a gift for me, for reaching the 200 points in the black card membership..

DSC_0437 (1024x681)

and that included a box of Too Faced goodies..

-Bulletproof 24hr shadow liner in Dirtbag: beautiful bronze shade, and it works really well for effortless smudgy eyeshadow look.

-Perfect liner in Perfect Black: awesome pencil for tightlining, and also for smudging eyeliner because of the smudging tool on the other end, really helps with creating the slight wing.

-Better than Sex (written Love here): i feel like this is one of the mascaras that is so good when it’s a little dried up, because the first time i used it, it was too heavy to lift my eyelashes, but when it got dried up, it is BOMB darling, it is BOMB.

and i also got a couple of things for me,..

DSC_0431 (1024x681)DSC_0432 (1024x681)

and because i was doing my own makeup for my sister’s wedding, i needed a contour kit. and i didn’t want one with multiple shades, just one with a single highlight shade and a single contour shade. So, i got myself the Marc Jacobs #InstaMarc contour kit in 40Mirage Filter. and it is so great, the shade are on point, and they blend like a dream, and the yellow powder isn’t too bright and yellow-y. so it’s perfect to me.

DSC_0435 (1024x681).jpg

now, i’m probably the last person on earth to try this. but now i get why people have been raving about this for years; IT TAKES A VILLAGE to take this off of your eyes, it is so good. and i got the shade Eden; cause i wanted it to act a concealer for my eyelids, because they’re on the darker side.

DSC_0433 (1024x681)DSC_0434 (1024x681) and i had to get the Huda Beauty Mink Lashes, and i got them in Naomi, great for Halo eyeshadow looks, they’re long, fluffy and wispy.. i love these. plus they’re so light on the eyes.

and i went to this Korean Beauty inspired store called The Face Shop and i only got one thing..

DSC_0436 (1024x681).jpg

It’s the Rice Water Brightening Light Cleansing Oil. and it works. cleansing oils are known for being excellent makeup removers. and this one works this way..

you message the oil into your skin with your clean hands, until all the makeup dissolves.

and then you rinse it off with only warm water. and trust me, it does NOT leave an oily residue on the skin. it just leaves your skin so soft, and it removes almost all the makeup.

plus, the rice water is known for brightening, so overtime with using this. your skin will get even brighter.

so, i guess that was it for the haul, really hope you enjoyed it, hopefully i’ll get to write more, because i miss writing for the blog.

Thank you so much for reading and i’ll see you next time.

So much love, Shahad..//

Empties vol.2 : Will I purchase these again?!

empties logo

Hello beauties!! welcome back !! It has been two weeks since I posted something, I haven’t posted anything last Friday because it was my sister’s bachelor party, and let me tell ya, I had the time of my life!! It was fun as HELL !! anyways, let’s move onto the empties, so welcome to the second part of my empties, my first one was in May, and now it’s December, so it’s been like 7 months (OMG!!) this time the products are more, there’s around 30 products, so i have categorized them in the photos so i won’t hibernate after taking them.

So, I’m gonna start with cleansers..

DSC_0171 (1024x681).jpg

(from left to right)

Nivea Gentle Face Cleanser: This is a cream cleanser for dry skinned people, it’s actually really good for hydrating your skin if you have dry skin, so i would actually recommend it, if you’re cream cleanser type of person.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser: I finished this and another sample bottle, I actually got a lot of Kiehl’s samples when i was in Paris. So, I really like this cleanser, it does the job well, but I won’t purchase the full size of it, cause there’s a lot better drugstore cleansers on the market.

Clean & Clear Morning Energy Brightening Cleanser: This one I  liked the most, because it definitely made my face feel so fresh, plus it got some sparkles inside the bottle, so I really like this cleanser, and it’s the type that I’ll repurchase.

Okay, moving on to other skin care products,..

DSC_0174 (1024x681).jpg

Garnier Makeup Remover Milk: This one is also for dry skin, and as it says on the bottle, it got rose extract, although i bought 2 bottles of this back in the day, i feel like now i didn’t like it that much, there was definitely much better products on the market, i didn’t repurchase, and i don’t think i will in the future.

L’Oreal Hydra Total 5 Gel-cream: This one is my second bottle, and i recommended it to my sister, and she loved it. If I didn’t bought another moisturizer, i would’ve bought it for the third time 🙂

Guerlain Orchidée Impériale: obviously won’t purchase the full size, cause i’m too young for that, but this is such a great serum for the face, plus it smells heavenly, and makes your skin looks and feels so good.

And since we still talking about the face, let’s talk makeup!! ..

DSC_0179 (1024x681)

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB: I got the shade Medium, and my thoughts on it would be “It’s ok” basically, it’s not bad, and it’s not great, i just didn’t like the fact that when you blend it out, it almost seems like nothing. the coverage didn’t really speak to my soul. and there’s definitely things better on the market, but that just my opinion.

Boutjois Healthy Mix Foundation: absolutely amazing foundation, I feel like if i’m done experimenting, i would probably go back to it, because it’s really good, it has been treating me well when i was using it, it’s satin-natural finish from what i tried, but it’s one of the best drugstore foundations, it’s actually my first foundation ever.

Victoria’s Secret Glossy Tint: I got this wayyy back in 2013 when the VSFS just aired and i was obsessed with their makeup look, and Candice Swanepoel. so i discovered that they used this in the show (the shade is Boudoir Pink) along with a color that  i don’t remember the shade’s name, but this is like a light, sheer everyday nude pink color, and i liked it, but i won’t repurchase it, actually it’s discontinue. so, thank god i don’t like it that much, and not many people go crazy for VS makeup.

L’Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim: I didn’t like it AT ALL!! like i only swatched it once, and it dried out completely, and i was carefully closing it, and try to keep it fresh and all, but it’s not great. although so many Youtube gurus recommend it, but i had a different experience with it. To me, it’s crap.

moving on to hair products, starting off with hair masks..

DSC_0175 (1024x681).jpg

these two hair masks are super affordable, especially here in SA. you can find them in supermarkets, herbalists, everywhere, and they’re not pricey at all.

Schwarzkopf Bonawell Apricot Oil & Pro Vitamin B5: this has been setting in my drawer for months, and i felt like it needs some love, so i tried it; i liked it, i recommend it, but i won’t repurchase it, maybe because i feel like there’s a whole lot better products on the market, but if you feel like trying something new without the risk, this one won’t let you down.

Silver Moon First Aid Doctor for Hair: this is such a great mask, i highly recommend it if you can find it, the consistency is thicker than the Beauty Formulas Avocado Oil treatment in my first empties post, but the result is the same, which i find it great.

it’s time for leave-in conditioners…

DSC_0176 (1024x681).jpg

Sunsilk x Ouidad Leave in conditioner: it’s really good, smells great, it’s the thickest leave in conditioner I’ve ever used consistency wise, and i really like it, and i highly recommend it for curly haired babes, cause it makes the curl less frizzy, shiny, and nourished.

Wella Pro Series Leave in balm for colored hair: it’s a spray form, didn’t do any harm or good for me, i didn’t like it, the fact that it’s a spray irritated me, so glad it’s over.

moving on to hair serums..

DSC_0177 (1024x681)

L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil: finished my second bottle, and on my way finishing my third one. I just LOVE this serum.

Garnier Fructis Split-Ends Damage: it’s really good, but nothing replaces L’Oreal’s serum in my heart ❤

Okay, let’s talk body products..

DSC_0178 (1024x681).jpg

Victoria’s Secret Angel Dream Lotion: this lotion supposed to be my mom’s, but she gave it to me, and i was stuck with it until i finished it up. now the delivery system sucks, the cream itself way too runny, and the smell is not that great, i mean the perfume smelled really nice, but when it came to the lotion, i wouldn’t recommend it that much.

Fair & White Paris Serum Exclusive Whitenizer w/ Vitamin C: the whole review on it is right here .

L’Occitane Amande Milk Concentrate: Remember when i got this on my birthday back in January, and I showed it in a Birthday Haul. Well, now it’s empty, i would ABSOLUTELY repurchase, are you kidding me!! this is so good, and i love L’Occitane, this was a major success!! and i highly recommend it! !

Bath & Body Works Dark Kiss mini lotion: B&BW have definitely improved their products, formula and packaging, so i bought the Dark Kiss lotion, it smelled so yummy, but i won’t repurchase it again, because i like trying new scents (I used to be a signature scent type of girl, but i’m not anymore).

and then going for random but important things for the body..

DSC_0172 (1024x681)

Victoria’s Secret Love Spell Body Wash: i felt like buying this was useless, because the scent didn’t linger on my skin, this is actually came in minis set of (body wash, lotion, and body mist) but i always had problem with body wash scents lingering on my body, so the idea of buying a body wash matching to my lotion, is a waste of money for me. would not repurchase it.

Rexona Women Cotton Dry deodorant stick: I love Rexona’s deodorant sticks, they really do the job, but the cotton scent wasn’t really great, so i discovered the Bamboo scent (the green one) it smells so good, i’m happy that i found the scent that i like in Rexona. because i really like the deodorants, but i hated the available scents, now i have something that i like.

Nivea Stress Protect deodorant roll-on: it’s ok, like it’s really liquid-y , so you need time before wearing something and i don’t really have much time in the morning, plus it doesn’t last for long, and i’m a “sweaty” girl. i need help most of the time. and this product doesn’t help as much as Rexona’s.

the last thing i’m going to talk about is perfumes, that i finished up..

DSC_0180 (1024x681).jpg

The Body Shop Fijian Water Lotus Body Mist: It smells fresh, and nice, i recommend it for a light, fresh, everyday, morning scent, but since i like trying new things, i won’t repurchase it.

Abdul Samad Al-Qurashi Hair Perfume: this is absolutely amazing for the hair, and it lingers, and it’s not harmful, plus it’s so luxurious. now, this little bottle lasted me 10 months and i used them almost every time i take a shower, meaning twice a week, plus my sisters used it with me. so this little bottle does last for long. not only you use it on your hair, but you can use it on your body by mixing it with your lotion. it’s custom scent, you choose what suits, i don’t remember the name, but i asked for a floral-y, french eau de parfum scent. I bought my second one recently.

Giorgio Armani Si: this is the cutest sample ever, i love samples that look exactly like the full bottle, and the scent is so yummy, and i may buy the full bottle, maybe not, who knows, but i really like it.

Acqua Di Parma Gelsomino Nobile eau de parfum: finished 2 samples of these, (although i got the full size one) but they gave me a whole bunch of samples when i was in Paris (check the full Paris beauty haul). and this scent is such a heavenly scent, i will repurchase it, and i highly recommend it to everyone, it smells the yummiest, and i got so many compliments when i wear this.

Acqua Di Parma Magnolia Nobile eau de parfum: this one smells really light and fresh, more fresh flower-y than the Gelsomino Nobile, but it’s really beautiful and i recommend it.

Acqua Di Parma Nobile Gelsomino eau de toilette: same great scent, but lighter, due it’s name eau de toilette.

Okay, finally; it took 2 weeks to finish it, sorry i’ll be away for a bit, cause i finals the next 2 weeks, and they will be hectic.

I really hope you liked this post, thank you so much for reading, and i’ll see you hopefully very soon..

Shahad’s Beauty Book: Special Occasion Face/.. Full Coverage Foundation.

16222938a7df9bacffc6c0522eff7479

Hello beauties welcome back to my blog, thank you for being patient with me and how busy i’ve been lately.

So, i’m finally writing this post, you know most of my posts lately haven’t been about makeup or beauty, it was all things that are related to fashion, or something doesn’t have to do with photography, because it’s been really hard to photograph lately.

anyways, back to the subject, so today, i’m going to show you my full coverage foundation routine, that i trust with my life. with all the tools, and why i love these products what i use them for, are they great, why are they so great to me. and all the stuff you need to know about a good foundation routine.

[Not to prime, is a CRIME ‘]

Let’s start with priming..

DSC_2807 (1024x670)

So, to prime my face i use the Bare Minerals Prime Time Original, it’s not your pore filling primer, but it has that silicone-y feeling; it’s one of those silicone primers, the ones where they feel velvety but they’re not pore filling, they don’t dry out your skin, they just PRIME it for ya.  Now, i don’t have pores, nor my skin is oily or combination, so i don’t use the pore filling primers; actually, i have normal-dry skin, so pore filling primers would dry out my skin, revealing flakes almost everywhere (on a bad skin day)

for eye primer i use is The Body Shop Insta Blur Eye, it’s actually not mine, it’s my sister’s; she used it before, i liked it when it was her’s, but she gave it to me; only to know that it’s not that great actually. It works, but it’s not that great as i said. like, it keeps the eye shadow from creasing for approximately 6 hours before it creases badly (which is okay if you’re going out for dinner of 2 hours and going home and removing your makeup, but not for everyday 8-12 hours of the day).

Now, moving on to correcting..

DSC_0173 (1024x681)

Okay, so i have a problem concealing my dark circles due to how dark they are (they’re not that dark but they are considered as dark) anyways, i stumbled across this baby after a Saudi Instagram blogger said that it changed her life and i was like “maybe it will change mine too” so i got it and GUURRLL, that shit changed my soul not even my life *hands held together for a prayer* !!

it’s the best thing EVER!! it’s the Benefit Erase Paste, the thing about it that it’s salmon, not pure orange, because pure orange is used for heavy concealer, and i use a light in formula concealer. so salmon is great of a color, my shade is #2.

i apply it with a synthetic flat concealer brush from the Eco Tools kit, and blend it with the Micro Beauty Blenders. {The green ones}

and since the corrector isn’t for showing, i apply it before foundation..

DSC_2809 (1024x681)

This is the star of the show, the one, the only, the Nars All Day Luminous Weightless  Foundation,,, *applause*

This is the foundation that i currently use and LOVE! it’s absolutely amazing, it’s semi-matte, but you feel like there’s a hydrating properties in it, it’s full coverage, but feels so light on the skin, it’s (uhm) watery, like really runny, and fluid. for example when i pump it into the back of my hand, as soon as it lands, it runs down, that’s how runny it is. but it’s definitely a winner.

As I said above, i have normal-dry skin; and this foundation works like magic on my skin, and my cousin have oily-combination skin, and it looked so good on her, so i feel like unless your skin is super-dry to dehydrated, you can use it.

because taking care of your skin is the key to foundation look good on you.

So, i apply this foundation with 2 steps:..

DSC_0174 (1024x681)

Step 1:.. I apply the foundation off the back of my hands with a flat foundation brush from Eco Tools, and almost paint my face with it, this will give you a full coverage but there will streaking from “painting your face”.

to blend out the streaking, let’s go to step 2..

DSC_0175 (1024x681)

Step 2:.. I blend out the foundation with my damp white Beauty Blender (sorry for being too dirty, i wash it regularly) the white beauty blender is stiffer than the black or the pink one, i don’t know why it just does.

so, this way you got yourself a full coverage, streak free finish.

Now, it’s time for concealer..

DSC_0171 (1024x681)

For concealer, i don’t use a heavy concealer, i don’t know why, but instead i use the Garnier concealer roller or something, in the color light, just to add a little highlighting to my face, and to apply that i use the beloved micro beauty blenders.

that’s it actually for concealing i don’t do much.

to set all that in place, we have to powder..

DSC_2816 (1024x681)

To set the concealer underneath my eyes, i mix The Balm’s Sexy Mama Translucent powder with Bobbi Brown’s Sheer Finish powder in Pale Yellow.

DSC_2817 (1024x681)

and i use this mini powder brush for that, because it can get to underneath my eyes, over my lids and crease, and place the highlight powder precisely.

DSC_2818 (1024x681)

and to set my entire face i use The Balm’s Sexy Mama Translucent powder alone, with this big kabuki brush, because it set the whole entire face at once.

I don’t contour, I bronze..

DSC_2819 (1024x681)DSC_2835 (1024x681)

as a base, i use The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in #4 to add dimension cause it’s matte, and since it’s crumbled; it becomes more pigmented, so i use that to add dimension to my face.

and to add that beautiful bronze glow to my face i use the Makeup Forever Pro Bronze Fusion in #151, to complete that glow, and since this bronzer got some golden shimmery particles it gives that golden goddess skin.

DSC_2820 (1024x681)

And I apply both with this Claire’s brush that my mom got me YEARS ago, and i’m throwing it out but..

*I need suggestion for a good bronzer brush.

But this one is doing it for now 🙂

to complete the glow, we’ll add highlighter..

DSC_2826 (1024x681)

I have such deep love for The Balm’s Mary-Lou Manizer, it is absolutely something else. I love using it for everyday makeup, or even special occasion makeup, it’s always a winner, and i apply it with this magic wand by MAC the brush #184.

& finally to add color to the face, BLUSH..

Now, I don’t use any color for blush for special occasions, it has to be a sophisticated color, almost suits every dress, eye makeup, and lip  color. so i chose for 3 blushes for different price ranges, 2 powders and one cream (if you wanted a dewy look). not too pink, nor too peach, nor too bright, more muted, neutral, almost natural on the skin colors.

DSC_2821 (1024x681) DSC_2823 (1024x681)

[from top left] Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge in #6 Powder Pink, NYX Powder Blush in Terracotta, Nars Dolce Vita.

To me, these three are great for special occasions, i feel like these blushes i can rely on when i don’t want things to clash.

& here's some swatches for ya :)

& here’s some swatches for ya 🙂

DSC_2825 (1024x681)

And I apply this blush with The Body Shop Blush Brush ,and I love this brush because it’s flat, so it lays the color down on the cheeks, but fluffy at the top, so it blends out the excess color on the cheeks..

So, that was for today’s post, finally something involves explaining and photography and long posts, and not only photos from the internet.

Thank you so much for reading this post, really hope you liked it, and found it helpful, again thank you for reading and i’ll see you very soon..

Mini Shoe & Makeup Haul ♥

‫DSC_0158 (1024x681) - نسخة

Hello my beauties, welcome back, as i will say, I’ve been SOOO busy with school work and stuff, i just finished a project (it was about the breast cancer awareness, you a day for that and all) and also, since i was so tired that i come back from school, i would sleep immediately ’til evening, and i need the sunlight for the photography.

so, most of the posts have been inspirational, doesn’t involve photography and anything helpful much.

but, i have a collective haul for you today, and i hope you’ll be pleased..!

starting with makeup products..

DSC_0160 (1024x681)

I was on the hunt for the perfect matte burgundy lipstick, and i came across the love of my life, ironically, it’s from a brand i dislike and certainly don’t trust </3 but i am now living happy with it, and there’s love between us two..

It’s the Max Factor LIPFINITY Color + Gloss in 550 Reflective Ruby, it’s a liquid lipstick on one side, and the other one is a matching gloss, i usually don’t wear lipgloss with dark lips, (cause basically dark matte lip is much more perfect) so yeah it’s absolutely amazing. and i swatched it in store and it took days for me to take it off properly, but on the lips it takes off easily. but it can get patchy a little if you didn’t use it in the right way.

and while i was on my way, i found a great colored pencil, that’s it’s actually a great way to wear color on your eyes if you’re not ready to go bold, since purple, works on all eye colors. It’s the NYX Slide on eye pencil in SL13 Jewel.

and i was happy to find out that the Rimmel ScandalEyes in Nude are finally available in the middle east, so got myself one.

DSC_0163 (1024x681)

the NYX pencil is less of blue toned purple in real life, since it’s more like a gold reflective purple. it’s almost like a plummy purple.

DSC_0167 (1024x681)

and here’s swatches for the lipstick…<3

and now moving on to the shoes..

DSC_0159 (1024x681)

I got these fierce beauties from Nine West, and i absolutely love them, i haven’t got the chance to wear them yet, but hopefully soon.DSC_0158 (1024x681)

& last but not least, the star of the show, the grand finale, the baby, THE Adidas Superstar trainers, and if you remember these babies from the Fashion wishlist, you know how much i wanted them and i finally got them, i got them from ASOS. and i am so glad that i did..

that was it for the haul really hope you liked it, and i’ll see you next time.,

Love, Shahad..//

I’ve always been fascinated by the close up runway shots, there’s something alive about it, because the basic shot of a model walking down the runway is boring to death, the close up shot can be unusual, interesting, and mysterious; because you see the shot without knowing the model, kind of exciting in a way. and the photos themselves can be editorial-esk.

that was a quick post, i wrote it, because i’m bored and i wanted to update my blog + I’m still going to write a post tomorrow (as every Friday).

Thank you for reading and i’ll see you next time.

Fall Mini Haul 2015 ♥

DSC_2824 (1024x681)

Hello beauties, hope you’re having a wonderful week, so before Eid, i went shopping for last minute pieces and i ended up getting a collection of stuff from the mall, not much of stuff, cause basically most stores were pure chaos (such as Forever 21) ever since they moved the store out of its usual place.

all of these stuff i got before Eid, so you’ve seen a piece in my outfit posts pre-Eid.

let’s get started with fashion..

DSC_2827 (1024x681)

The first store i went to was Forever 21 and the only thing i got is this sports bra, cause basically the store was an absolute mess, and i couldn’t get anything but this.

i honestly don’t workout, but i might sign up to a gym membership next month, or week, and i need a sport bra in my life, plus, this bra got some cool details at the back, and i’m totally in love with it.

DSC_2825 (1024x681)

and then i went to Stradivarius, i love this store, like, i’m not even kidding.

I got this beautiful statement necklace, which is in black and gold ~Spirit colors~ and i felt that it has this unique feel to it, and i absolutely LOVE iiittt…

you’ve seen this necklace in my eid outfit post right here.

DSC_2831 (1024x681) DSC_2832 (1024x681)

the next thing that i got is fur vest; now, ever since last winter, and i’ve been craving a good fur vest, now i got this from Stradivarius, and then i went to Zara, and i saw the perfect fur vest, but the one in Zara is much more expensive, plus this one from Stradivarius got a cool woolen back (trying to convince myself </3 )

moving on to beauty product..

DSC_2840 (1024x681) DSC_2841 (1024x681)

i got this ( i don’t know what to call it in English) but it’s saturated perfume oil, you can use it on your hair, mix it with your lotion, and i got it in a floral scent, there’s musk scents, amber scents, oud scents, but i got a floral scent. And it’s from Abdul Samad Al Qurashi.

DSC_2834 (1024x681) DSC_2835 (1024x681)

and then i went to the Make up Forever pro store, and i got this awesome bronzer, and i liked that it got some shimmers in it, which adds a glow, and i got it in the color 151, which is less of an orange and more of a reddish brown undertone. because i don’t contour, but at least i’ll get a glow and dimension.

DSC_2844 (1024x681)

here’s a swatch for you.

DSC_2839 (1024x681) DSC_2838 (1024x681)

and something i didn’t get from the mall, is this ColourPop quad, it’s the ColourPop x Shaaanxo quad. and it contains 4 colors: Selfie (a matte peanut butter color) *my personal favorite*, Rebel (a matte khaki green), Deluxe (pearlized warm bronze), XO (pearlized light champagne).

i got it from a site, if you live in Saudi Arabia you probably already know it by now, cause it’s well-known it’s Vanillaeshop.com you can get it from there.

i was so excited, that i actually swatched them right away when i got them.

and that was it for the haul, i really hope you liked it, thank you so much for reading and i’ll see you next time.

Shahad’s Beauty Book: Special Occasion Face/..The Prep.

16222938a7df9bacffc6c0522eff7479

Welcome back, it’s been a busy school week for me, and it’s weekend where I live, so basically i’m not fully free of duties, cause i got the blog, i just cleaned up my brushes, i have an algebra test on Sunday, and i have to go Eid shopping today with my mom 🙂

anyways, i made this new series (What’s up with me and making a series out of everything?!), whatever.

so, this series is contains some tips on what to do with your makeup for special occasions, from face prep, to eye makeup, to the perfect selection of lip makeup..

so, this is a sub-series from the Shahad’s Beauty Book. and for today, i’m going to talk about how to prep your face (fool proof) ..

..The night before..

while you’re taking a shower before hand after you did everything that you normally do in the shower, exfoliate your face, i know that you do this all the time, but it really does create a really beautiful canvas to work with.

Why the day before? because if you exfoliate on the day of the occasion, your skin cells will be ultra sensitive, and if you immediately put on makeup on top, you might have breakouts, because your skin cells haven’t made a barriers or guards to protect them from any chemicals or bacteria.

DSC_2807 (1024x681) DSC_2808 (1024x681)

My favorite is the VLCC scrub, it’s cream-based so it won’t dry out your skin, plus the beads are quite small, but rough, it’s abrasive but not harsh. plus it got natural oatmeal in it, so it’s fantastic for your skin.

..The morning of the event..

DSC_2806 (1024x681)

apply masks, if you got dry skin, i highly suggest applying the Caudalie Hydrating mask, and for all skin types, i suggest The Body Shop Honey & Oat Mask, you can use The Body Shop mask instead of the whole scrub your face shenanigan; because the mask itself got some chunky and soft oat beads, so you can use it as an all-in-one, but it really brightens your skin, i speak of a personal experience.

by the way, i feel like applying both masks with a flat foundation brush, will make you feel like you’re in a spa or something, and after you finish applying it, you massage it in with your warm, clean fingers.

as for TBS mask, i normally do it with my fingers because i like working the oat beads in. but you can do it either way.

DSC_2814 (1024x681)

Scrub.Your.Lips..!!! Why is this so important? Do you want to have chapped lips on a day of an event? Hell no. Do you want your lipstick to go Oh-So-Smoothly? Hell yes. Then go and exfoliate your lips.. you can do that olive oil and sugar scrub (I’ve done it so many times) but since i have this one, i thought about giving you a really nice recipe, on how to work with a really loose and dry sugar scrub, cause i tried using it on its own, didn’t work for me.

DSC_2815 (1024x681)

So, what you need to do, is grab a finger-full of Vaseline, and a finger-full of the scrub; and mix them together until it creates a textured paste..

DSC_2818 (1024x681)

Like this 🙂

What the Vaseline does, is that it gives the loose dry sugar particles a grip for your lips, plus it hydrates just like a body scrub with Shea butter in it, it exfoliates, but gives a hint of moisture. Scrub away the dead skin, leave for 5 minutes, and scrub and wipe off the excess over the sink. and you’re revealed with a really nice, smooth lips !

DSC_2821 (1024x681)

Apply lip balms immediately, because if you don’t; you’ll have chapped lips again.

I have these 2 lip balms that i love for before makeup, because both of them are not glossy, nor slippery.

The Labello Soft Rosé gives a velvet matte finish to the lips, but quite moisturizing.

The Weleda Everon, gives a really natural finish, it’s quite hard to apply, and it’s great because you prevent applying too much at once, plus it’s a wellness brand, so it got beeswax and multiple butters, so it’s quite great.

DSC_2809 (1024x681)

Rosewater is the ultimate toner, i know Candice Swanepoel uses this as her toner. It is known to soothe out your skin, and it’s quite cooling, it would cool-off the red on the skin. plus if you got dry skin, it will hydrate it.

DSC_2820 (1024x681)

For your eyes, apply a serum first (Just like your skin, except the fact that i don’t wear face serums!) I love this Keihl’s Super Multi-Corrective Eye-Opening Serum, it’s so good, but i love to apply cream on to because it can get sticky this particular serum, and i don’t want a really sticky base for my concealer, especially that i got a dry eye area, i will apply the L’Oreal RevitaLift Laser Renew/ Laser x3 eye cream, it is so good, and it hydrates beautifully, great base for concealer.

DSC_2812 (1024x681)

For face lotions, i got 2 options for you, one for dry-super dry skin, and one for oily, combination, normal skin.

Oily, Combo, Normal: L’Oreal Hydra-Total 5 Normal Gel-Cream.

This is my holy-grail, it’s gel-based; so it almost feels like water on your skin, it’s so great, i can’t rave enough about it. and you can find it in your local drugstore near you.

Dry-Super Dry: Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré.

I got this from France, explains why the name is in French, but gives your skin that cashmere feeling on your skin, it’s absolutely amazing for dry skinned people. you can use it if you want to go for that dewy foundation look, but it’s really hydrating.

and Voila! you got yourself a heavy makeup skin ready *applause*

That was it for today’s post, and soon i will write a post about the full coverage foundation routine, until then..

Love, Shahad..//

Hello beauties welcome back, now these days; you’ll probably notice that i’m not really consistent with the posting schedule, so i might be posting 2 days in a row, or maybe only posting on Friday, or even posting every other day, because i haven’t been set to one schedule, because it’s just the first weekend of school, and i haven’t even made up my mind about my life yet.

but, let’s leave that aside, and talk about something we love, makeup, and not any makeup, the makeup i wish i had !! (wow, what an interesting topic to talk about !).

starting off with the face products..

0ca0ebfbc36df3d6a0f32045ea7051a7

@makeupbydanii_

@makeupbydanii_

The first thing i wanna talk about, is the Josie Maran Argan Oil highlighter, basically i wanted for 2 things, A.because it got mostly natural ingredients, B. it shines like nothing else + it’s liquid, so you can mix it with your foundation.

@makeupbydanii_ (pictured) mix it with her foundation all the time, you can see for yourself what gorgeous glow it gives.

0b6021222887bf7b734cf70ea9b06f6d 717356a0bb26d29ac0f5b5012ce1955d

the second thing is Becca x Jaclyn Hill Highlighter in Champagne Pop, it’s just that beautiful white gold, with a hint of peach, now; i love me some Mary- Lou, but a little hint of peach never killed nobody! in other words, Champagne Pop is the peachier version of Mary- Lou by TheBalm.

i was actually ordering it from Sephora.com, but they always cancel my order, so now all i got is wishing </3 🙂

e75de91c5f7ee61e08f6c68c8da2b4ec

Let’s talk blushes, this blush (Tarte Exposed) is so beautiful, like a nude pink color, i feel like it goes with almost every look possible, i don’t know why, but it just does.

i have put it on my list, thinking that i might find it in Sephora Champs – Élysées, only to find out that Tarte is only available in US and Canada </3 🙂

but, Oh well !

5ca3b1c17693417000f131723a0c18ed

Hourglass Ambient Blush in Diffused Heat, this is the “hot” blush as Estelle (from essiebutton) say. it’s a beautiful mix of orange, coral, and a hint of pink, it’s gorgeous for the summer, i can get it from net- a -porter, but it’s way too expensive, i need to achieve something to reward myself with it.

Let’s talk eye product..

e9e61bc4862ef92586271f04d3ba0e63 fcb40d9b4d94caa8f17034c1f913a9e5

This is the most luxurious everyday palette you could think of, like i might buy this as my High school graduation gift, because i could wear this everyday to university, and so as the weekend, but it’s way too luxurious for now, high school years, (Thank god only a year left !). Ladies & gentlemen it’s the Marc Jacobs Lolita Palette.

cae1f31fc0c6e8b57a35d81f26292fc5 fcd7d0e674d7fccab29f8cebb74edbd7

The Tarte Tartelette Palette, this palette have been captivating me since day one, it’s all matte, gorgeousness, and it’s the perfect palette for brown eyes (at least i believe that!), you know, it’s just so perfect, i can’t take it anymore, i even ordered it from Sephora.com, but they cancelled the order (Sephora have crashed my dreams </3)

moving it to individuals,

3a94830b67f6cde3c188b12d8273ccee 9f50271c47679a4e69cbf2a721e4fb96 175fcbe89cf80362d8bb977c14a30923

MAC Amberlights, it’s the most beautiful gold, my eyes have witnessed. i have no other words, it’s just so perfect !

I even got you a dupe; so, you’re welcome darlings 🙂

6c01660f91f0f708319d27bb3b0c4f86

MAC Satin Taupe, well i don’t need to say anything it’s a best seller at MAC. so yeah.

66b71f0fe5cb97556853dc10ce67271e 1b124293042ecc38955bacc84d9dc4a4

I don’t why, but i feel like MAC’s Coppering, would look beautiful on Green and Brown eyes, because it’s red-based, and red is the opposite of green on the color wheel, so it will make the green POP!!  and for brown eyes, well… i just feel like it would look good.

04dae64719e44abc5af881b4bf0e3a50

Not only is a great brow color for blondes, but MAC’s Omega would make a beautiful, unique crease color. it would spice up your crease work, imagine having Omega as one shadow for the crease, on an everyday look. that would look hella good !

0676c17bdc126bc9351d74aba0411923

@makeupbydanii_ used it on the lid and crease.

@makeupbydanii_ used it on the lid and crease.

MAC Woodwinked.

Ever since  i watched Tanya Burr when she applied it and it turned in this lid and crease color, i knew this is love, like it’s just a brilliant color for this I-only-use-one-shadow-but-it-looks-like-i-used-2 look !

Pigments, pigments..

630e8e4cd7c0171d6a05c914c664f5f1

MAC Tan Pigment, everyone raves about it, i don’t know what’s the deal with this color, but it’s beautiful. i think that i would look great for a addition in your makeup collection.

18f892ca5bdb42e3d7396b4f99f8d107 92d7ef9cacef87ded1993fbf0cae6aa8

MAC Vanilla Pigment.

this is an incredible pigment for the eyes, as a highlighter, because it works on light to medium skin tones, kind of most of the skin tones. because it got this hint of white, gold, and rose gold all together, so it’s a total winner.

let’s move on to the lip products !!>> AKA Obsession 🙂

2ff1fe381cfe4c2b53e39289a65513cc 284e432ddb00377823352e561b825245

Kat Von D Lolita liquid lipstick. I don’t know what i love more, the packaging, the color, or the fact that i have a thing for Lolitas !! but this color was sold out for the longest time, and when they restocked it, i went to order it, but obviously the sweet Sephora.com cancelled my order already 🙂 but, positive Shahad thought that NYX Soft Matte Lip cream in Cannes, would make a great dupe for Lolita 🙂

fdaeedbb9ef54b98e2dc80707a2170e6 7678d9c88d2e2d38f837b6567e6da721

Before the whole Kylie Jenner shenanigans, i was on the hunt for the perfect nude for olive skin, and i stumbled across MAC Velvet Teddy, and ever since, it was on my list for so long, but i haven’t been to MAC that while, until the KJ thing became.. well, a thing!! and it was sold out ever since 🙂 (lost lovers !)

2d2cb3875e6c975a81375cd2f48ce6da f663d623820e02744bbb7837fd92860f

This is probably the perfect burgundy, dark lip color. MAC Media, i don’t see it a lot on the social media sites, as much as Rebel, Diva, Cyber, and etc. but it’s an absolute beautiful color for the fall and the winter.

i have a feeling this is the end of the post, thank you so much for reading and i’ll see you next time.

Love, Shahad../

Mini Haul .

‫DSC_2749 (1024x681) - نسخة

So, i went shopping the other day for eid and upcoming things, and i got some stuff to show, from accessories to makeup, to nails, to clothing (basically everything!!)

and i can’t wait to show you..

starting with clothes because it’s only two things,

DSC_2752 (1024x681)

so, the first store i went to was Cache Cache, it’s a french clothing brand, and it got some of the most beautiful bohemian pieces, and i got this awesome top, and i don’t really know how to wear it, (i’ll just find a way to style it and post it for you)

but it almost looks like a Moroccan rug (you’ll know what i mean if you watched Shay M’s Morocco experience) which i think it’s so cool and unusual (’cause basically no one wants to wear a rug ?! ) but i like trying things people don’t usually wear.

and what i love about this top, is that the fabric is so light; so it’s amazing for the summer (even though we’re moving onto fall and winter) and it got fringes all around.

Again it’s from Cache Cache and it costs = 169,00 SAR / 29,99 €

DSC_2753 (1024x681)

2646701251_1_1_1

Next, is this top from ZARA, and i just love it and i’ve never thought of wearing something similar.

but i really love this top, and i can’t wait to wear it, and basically bought it because it appealed to me when it was on

Carli Bybel, 602B4812

but hers was much of a crop top, mine is longer.

and it’s basic white, which is good, and it costs 199.00 SAR.

i basically have nothing to say about it.

Let’s move onto accessories…

DSC_2748 (1024x681)

the first accessories store i went to was this one called Parfois (i read it in a French way for no reason, as in par-foo-waa and it’s a Portuguese brand, I’ve always thought it was French!) anyways, and i think i’m falling in love with their jewelry, like everything is basically bohemian inspired in there. so, i got these two beauties and they are making me happy every time i look at them !

the first earring is like a mini statement earring, like it’s not big of a statement, but it will stand out for sure.

and the second one, is that type that goes from the front and the back, kind of going around the ear of something !

both of the are silver wear, i feel like i have too many gold earrings, which is good; since the gold goes well with my undertone.

DSC_2750 (1024x681) DSC_2749 (1024x681)

& then i went to Accessorize (my favorite jewelry store EVER!!) and i got 2 rings, one is a gold triangle and it got sparkly bits all over the triangle and it’s from the Z for Accessorize line, which seems pretty cool in my opinion, since i find the letter Z cool enough.

and i got this awesome sterling silver ring, which i LOVE!! and i can’t wait to wear it.

moving on to nail products ..

DSC_2744 (1024x681)

So, i went to The Body Shop, and i got some really simple, helpful stuff for my nails. i actually use to use my sister’s but now that i got mine it’s like i’m free.

Please comment if you want a nail care routine, i could really help you from what to eat to how to prevent breakage as possible.

so, i got the Almond Nail & Cuticle Oil, with a cuticle pusher. and i got the nail buffer or as they named it “Nail Polishing Block”

DSC_2746 (1024x681)

and i got the OPI Natural Base Coat, because I’ve heard really great things about it. and i’m excited to use it.

and i also got the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Top Coat. and the reason i got this is for something i’ll explain in an upcoming post. (hopefully soon!)

move on to makeup, Shall we?

DSC_2742 (1024x681)

I only got 2 things, and they’re basically Lip liners from Makeup Forever. i went there in the first place because of the MUFE Lip liner in 8c “the red one” and i ended getting it with another color.

DSC_2741 (1024x681)

I ended up getting MUFE Aqua Lip Liners in 8c, which is the only red i use and it’s an absolute pain in the butt to remove.

and i also got the color 14c, an amazing dupe for MAC Soar, except i believe the MUFE is much more expensive.

but i’m happy with my purchases.

So, that was it for the mini haul, i really hope you liked it and i’ll talk to you next time.

Love, Shahad../
