Hello my beauties, it’s been such a long time, but i actually had some work to get done for school. but anyways, on January I uploaded a post for you about my cousin’s engagement party, Let me tell you something, Yesterday was her big day, i was so happy for her, and it was the cutest wedding ever!! i had enough fun for a wedding (since i don’t usually enjoy weddings!) but today i am showing you my Hair, Makeup, & Outfit, Plus what i usually take inside my clutch if i’m going to a wedding or any other occasion or event.
let’s get started with hair..
so basically i wanted a slicked back hair, because it’s very unique to people of my community, i am a shy and bold girl, so since my outfit is so sparkle-y and glittery and i’ll be wearing bold lip, i though about going bold, but not too bold that would compete with the whole look!
so, i couldn’t take a photo of my dress, instead i uploaded one, this dress is from Terani Couture, now i got it from MissesDressy.com last year, but now, it’s not found on the site, the only site that sells it is UniqueVintageDress.com
but as you can see it’s quite sparkly and stuff, that’s why i chose a slicked back hair, because i wanted the dress to shine as much needed!
i didn’t tell you that the color palette of my look was Red, Nude, and Rose Gold, so the shoes that i wore were Red Suede Court Shoes by New Look, i’m sure that i’ve shown you before on this blog, but since the shoes are downstairs, i feel lazy going downstairs and shoot and comeback up, and do the whole shenanigan. but as you can see, i chose suede over patent leather because suede gives a matte look, and it’s important for the outfit since all the sparkle is on the dress.
i though about going light with the accessorize because the dress itself a bunch of jewelry hanged (not really,it’s just a metaphor!), but i can’t go empty handed, so a timepiece and rings are always right! and also i wore earrings since my hair was slicked back.
+What i took inside my clutch..
In Weddings where i live, everyone is banned from having phones inside the hall, since it would distract from all the fun, and it can ruin the bride and groom’s privacy, so as the guests, that’s why i didn’t add my phone there; since i wanted to make this post as accurate as it can be. so basically what i took with me was:-
-The Body Shop Indian Night Jasmine Perfume Oil.
-Mentos Pure Fresh Chewing Gum.
-Lip Product (Makeup Forever Aqua Liner in 8C)
-Labello Soft Rose Lipbalm (Optional)
-Marie-Antoinette Mirror (my mom got me from Paris)
-CHANEL Coco Noir Perfume.
now, if it wasn’t a wedding, i’d have taken my phone.
Dress: Terani Couture.
Shoes: New Look.
Timepiece: Michael Kors.
Rings & Earrings: Aldo.
Clutch: Dorothy Perkins.
Moving on to MAKEUP!! (which is the longest, hardest to explain part ever!!)
Starting with the base (i actually started with my eyes, but whatever!), basically using bareMinerals Prime Time Primer, and Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation (which i’m running quite low on!) and if you wanna know my shade is N°55 Dark Beige-Beige Foncé. moving on to concealing, using my power duo, my Garnier Roll-on in Medium and my Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit (Warm Natural-Pale Yellow), and setting the concealer with the powder that comes with it.
Setting my foundation with theBalm Sexy Mama Translucent Powder, and i contoured (sort of!) with theBalm Bahama Mama Bronzer, since it’s more on the cool-toned side, and to blend the contour i used the Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel, (since it’s mousse-like texture,it won’t cake up if i put it on top of powder). and to set the Chanel bronzer, i used The Body Shop Honey Bronzer in 4 Deep Matte. and for blush i went with a copper-y, rose golden color, Using NYX Blush in Terracotta. and adding the final touch with theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer for a highlighted glow!
Face.Done. now let’s move on to the eyes…!!
now, this eye look required only one palette and 2 brushes, and for this look i’ll be using the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette, but just so you know, i primed my eyes with The Body Shop All-in-One InstaBlur Eye.
know to start the eye look and give a dry, non-sticky base to work with i used Milk Chocolate all over my eye area from lid to browbone, and as a transition shade, i used Salted Caramel, and blended it really well. and i worked some of Cherry Cordial precisely in the crease to add some definition and color. and for the lid applying even more Milk Chocolate. and finally for highlighting the inner corner, i used Marzipan. for the lower lashline, using Cherry Cordial and blend it out with Salted Caramel.
OK, it’s time for liner and lashes!! so, i did a semi thick liner with the Maybelline EyeStudio Gel Liner in Black, and applied Rimmel Exaggerate pencil in 213 In the Nude. and curled my lashes with the Sephora Gold eyelash curler. and applied Yves Saint Laurent Shocking Mascara as a base for Ardell 120 Demi Lashes.
Finally for the lips, i thought about being matte and convenient, so i thought about going bright rLoed with a little darker outline, but i honestly happen to use the MUFE liner only! and it worked just fine, but next time maybe i’ll use both.
so, to get that matte, long lasting lip look, Makeup Forever Aqua Liner in 8C is the best so far.
That was it for today’s post, thank you so much for reading it and i’ll talk to you again very soon.
